A journey inside the mind of a female hostage as all the conflicting parts of her compete over how best to escape. Female Captive features an acrobatic performance from Pauline Chalamet as all six characters inside her own head.

The mind-bending score was created entirely from manipulations of the voice. A task for which Evan enlisted the talents of leading New York experimentalist Lea Bertucci, who provided a treasure trove of unique articulations from which each sound was crafted.
